Athlete’s Foot: Natural Remedies!

Preventing & avoiding athlete’s foot are the best type of medicine, but it is not fool-proof and sometimes life happens. Here are the natural remedies if your feet are infected with fungal:

  1. Put 40 drops of tea tree (100%) to water and soak your feet in for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, applying a few drops between your toes and under your feet. Tea tree oil has known for its strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungus traits. The oil will help eradicate the fungus and prevent it from spreading out
  2. Same method as above but with half a cup of organic apple cider vinegar combined with 2 tablespoons of Himalayan crystal salt. The combination creates a high acidic environment in which the fungus cannot survive. Also, after you shower, you can spray or wipe your feet with a cloth/towel soaked in the solution and make them absolutely dry afterward. Clean your shoes and sandals with the solution to help eradicate the fungus from living in there
  3. If you don’t mind getting your feet a little stinky (but it will help!), then the use of fresh, or crushed garlic putting between your toes is greatly recommended. The same effect can be achieved thought it might take a longer time is to add garlic to your diet.
  4. Try ozonated olive oil to help treating athlete’s foot. Dry your feet each morning and night, then apply the oil. Your fungus should clear up in about 2-4 days. The best thing about olive oil is it can even prevent against future outbreaks.
  5. Before putting on your socks every morning, dab your toes with a little bit of baking soda or corn starch. They won’t help relieving the itch but they can absorb the moisture hence make them less of an environment for fungus to grow
  6. Make a mixture of oregano leaves (about 4 ounces) and water. Soak your feet in the combination 2-3 times per day.
  7. Other natural ingredients that have strong anti-fungal properties are sesame and raw coconut oil. Swab it thoroughly on your feet (make sure they are clean and dry) with a cotton ball twice a day
  8. Another common natural treatment for athlete’s foot is colloidal silver. Spray or apply to your feet and let it fully dry overnight.
  9. A natural oil that is toxic to those harmful fungal organisms is organic Neem oil. Before going out, make sure you apply with a cotton ball to your feet.
  10. Last but not least, organic ginger is a strong anti-fungal natural ingredient! Add an ounce of fresh chopped ginger to a cup of boiling water and let it cool for 20 minutes. Apply your feet (make sure the water is cool down) twice a day
